Description

Come hike into Big Chico Creek Canyon, a breathtaking canyon of ancient volcanic rock with much human, geological, and natural history. We will hike about a mile up the Yahi Trail, located in Upper Bidwell Park, the home of almost 750 recorded plant species. We hope to spot Bushtits, Cedar Waxwings, Oak Titmice, Western Bluebirds, Spotted Towhees, and Belted Kingfishers. Bring snacks, water, and binoculars. Sturdy shoes and carpooling are strongly encouraged.
