Join Department of Fish and Game’s Steve Brightwell as he shares very interesting facts about some of Butte County’s most amazing reptiles.

Birds of Prey!
Saturday, January 29th, 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm
Live hawks! Falconer Randy Landis will share some fascinating facts, unique habits and curious myths about these beautiful birds of prey!

Meet Smokey the Bear and the Blue Goose!
Smokey the Bear and the National Wildlife Refuge’s Blue Goose will be visiting from the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge. They will be around the Festival at various times throughout the weekend!

Build Your Own Bat Box!
Sunday, January 30th, 10:30 am to 12:30 pm

After attending Saturday’s All About Bats workshop you’ll definitely want to build your own bat house for these amazing creatures. Come learn the best location to place your newly constructed box.
($5 materials fee – limited to 20 boxes)

Junior Naturalist Activities
Saturday & Sunday, January 29th & 30th, 10 am – 3 pm
Naturalists of all ages are invited to learn bird identification, make a bird call, construct a bird feeder and much more! Games, nature crafts, and other special activities will be taking place throughout the weekend!
