Description

Delevan NWR is one of 15 National Wildlife Refuge units along the Interstate 5 corridor. This refuge is generally closed to the public, so this is a rare opportunity to visit this area that is home to large numbers of Pacific Flyway's wintering waterfowl and host to hundreds of shorebirds, herons, egrets and raptors. Then we'll travel to Sacramento NWR to witness thousands of birds in their spectacular ‘fly-off'. Please bring snacks, water, binoculars, and a scope (if you have one), and wear layered clothing for winter wear.
