Description

Here is an opportunity to enjoy Lassen's stunning winter landscape while learning about seasonal wildlife adaptations, including how birds either migrate or tolerate the snowy forest. Due to the presence of snow and the time of day, there are few bird sightings on this hike. We will casually explore the park's beautiful Red Fir forest on snowshoes. Participants must be 8 years or older and able to withstand moderate physical exertion at an elevation of 7,000 feet. Snowshoes will be provided. No experience necessary! Dress warmly, wear boots, and bring lunch and water.
