Meet "Checkers" a Great Horned Owl as Marilyn shares some fascinating facts, unique habits, and curious myths about these beautiful birds of prey. Learn about wildlife rehabilitation and what you can do to help native wildlife. A surprise visit by other raptors is sure to delight all ages.

Marilyn Gamette

Marilyn Gamette has worked extensively with environmental education and wildlife rehabilitation. She graduated in 1963 from Chico State with a teaching credential. Since then, she has worked for California Department of Fish and Wildlife at Gray Lodge Wildlife Area, the Durham and Chico Unified School Districts, and is retired from the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. She is passionate regarding all wildlife and their associated habitats.
